AND PARIS AND EDINBURGH.

I am going on an exciting trip to these amazing cities with my bestie, Kate. I absolutely cannot wait! To make it even better, we are going in winter! I've experienced a European winter before and I absolutely loved it!

I've been super organised with the planning of the trip, even though it's months and months away. On reflection, I can only compare my organisation and excitement to one thing...

So you know that episode of Friends where they all go to London for Ross' wedding? Well I've decided that my trip with Kate will be like Joey and Chandler's experience. If you haven't seen the episode, watch the clip below.

Basically, I'll be Joey, the annoying and overly-excited one constantly taking photos and uploading them to Instagram while Kate will be Chandler, the one wishing I would shut the hell up.

Of course Kate will be really excited! She won't be as sarcastic as Chandler, but she will definitely tell me to calm down. Personally, I think being a "Joey" is so much better. So Kate, if you read this....be more of a "Joey" by the time our trip comes around!

What kind of traveler are you? A Joey or a Chandler?

"Bad bitches are taking over the world" - A quote from the book, #GIRLBOSS, that really stood out to me and NOT because I'm a bad bitch. Well....

For me, "bad bitches" refers to those who fight for what they want, work hard and kick ass in whatever they do. I'd like to think that I'm somewhat THAT kind of bad bitch. To be successful, I think it's imperative to be a "bad bitch".

Look, I'm just going to put it out there...I absolutely hate shopping for jeans! I'm sure I'm not the only one. It's so frustrating trying to find the right pair, especially when they need to be a certain colour, cut and style! In my case, I needed a specific type of jeans for work.

My checklist to find the perfect jeans:

1. Black (jeans that preferably won't fade)
2. Skinny Jeans
3. Stretchy (as stretchy as possible without being leggings)
4. Mid-rise (high waisted jeans were going to be too uncomfortable to move around/act in all day and low rise....i don't want a muffin top)
5. Preferably crop (I have short legs and I don't want a pair of jeans that could double up as shoes and they also need to be tight around the ankles)
6. Look good and comfortable (some jean brands look great on, some don't)

Yes, quite a specific list, but hey! Surely I can find a pair of black skinny, mid-rise, cropped jean, that are quite stretchy and don't make women's legs look like dumplings? WRONG.

Willkommen to my blog! And yes, what a great way to start a brand new blog; I’m writing about shopping.
So, this year I am a full-time working actor - huzzah for weekly paychecks! When I’m not acting, one of my favourite hobbies is to shop. Sometimes I just browse and hope to find something amazing. Other times, I shop with a purpose.

Let me just run this scenario by you:
Your pay enters your account....what do you do? (YES, I do put a percentage of my pay into a savings account just in case you were thinking I burn it all away). But what about the rest of the money? Every week, there is a part of my brain saying, “OI! DON’T SPEND IT!” You know what stupid section of my brain, sometimes I think you don’t know me at all! Of course I’m going to spend SOME (if not, all) of it. Look, let’s just say some.
disclaimer: I don’t have a shopping addiction. I just really like shopping.

Writing the above disclaimer sparked my thoughts and wonderings about controlling one’s shopping. I ended up checking out a few websites (which will remain nameless) in order to find out some techniques to “help” control shopping. I do doubt the effectiveness of these techniques and I’ve thoroughly analysed (not really) each technique.
